WHOA!

I had the strangest dream last night. Instead of getting a new car, we got a new submarine. And me, obviously wanted to err...drive the sub, but my parents wouldn't let me because they went to Sub Driving classes, but a black guy with a purple Rainforest Cafe polo shirt had to help us out. strange...

neways, i'm off to SFBC's labor day retreat until Mon. so I won't be on this weekend. hehe

DRAT! I forgot the strumming pattern i learned last night that I said I wouldn't forget...let's see...duduuududu no duuduududu, hmm...aghhh...

NEW SCHOOL YEAR, NEW CAR!

Yeah, i wish it were that easy. Both are quite true. It's the 2nd day of school and the 3rd time I change my schedule. I like this one though. So here's (hopefully) my official Junior year schedule:

A: AP US History - Ruff (still)
1: AP Physics - Irwin (still)
2: Teacher's Aide (Bible I) - Pickering
3: Weights - E C K L U N D (finally!)
4: American Lit. - Anderson
5: Chapel Leadership - Taylor
6: Art I - Baird
7: Pre-Calc. Honors - Irwin again

I actually had yearbook today but I decided to go with art to fulfill my VPA req. (sorry mrs. kirksey!)

yes, yes, I (we, family) picked up our new car. It's a silver-green 2004 Volvo XC90! It's so awesome! Can't wait to drive it. We've been waiting since January to get it. Due to a cargo ship sinking in the Mediterranean with a good number of European cars, it was a bit of a delay, but the wait has finally ended!

I'm still freaking out about this year. I'm fortunate to have 4 easy and fun classes. Despite Mr. Irwin's calm demeanor and his shifty eyes, I'm nervous about those classes (and AP USH is going to be a killer). Let's start counting down the days until summer lol!!!

IT'S ALIVE!

God must've answered a prayer yesterday. I was asking my mom when I should transfer the $900 I borrowed for my computer into their account, and then she asked me how long my computer would take to build, and I replied not long, and she said I could put it together! So I put everything in last night, and now I'm dealing with software issues and Windows XP installation. It works okay so far, but I haven't done much yet. If all goes well, I'll be watching TV from my new computer today!

EAGLETTERS

Upon the return of 7 days of mail, I received congratulatory letters from the following:

Governor Gray Davis (just to keep high reputation, j/k)
Sen. Don Perata
Jimmy Carter
John Ashcroft
NESA
National Parks Service

and a returned unknown sender letter from Ross Perot. No wonder no one voted for him! hehe. I think for 40 letters sent, it's looking pretty good so far. I sent letters to everyone from Arnold Schwarzenegger to Steve Jobs. Kinda cool getting replies.

REALITY STINKS

I've been saying this all day yesterday. Yep, I'm back and not glad to be back. Okay, I missed some stuff, but when you arrive just in time to start the hardest year of your life, REALITY STINKS!

I would start talking about camp and Hawaii, but frankly, there's not too much to say, and plus, basically no one reads this blog. So you'll have to IM me instead. I'll just say that camp was fun, met lots of people, learned a lot. Hawaii was nice, the ship was cool, wasn't too hot, got bitten by mosquitoes.

I was at school today for orientation. According to what I was given, here's what the dreaded schedule, which will be undergoing a lot of changes by Wednesday. I just put down what I was given because it looks cooler...

A: AP USH - Ruff (fun fun)
1: AP Physics - Irwin
2: AP Eng. Lang/Composition - Anderson (will drop for Amer. Lit)
3: Teacher's Aide - Jones (where'd that come in? Hoping for Mrs. P instead)
4: Weight Training - Ashton (ugh, wanted Ecklund instead)
5: Chapel Leadership - Taylor (the craziest class on the campus!)
6: Pre-Calculus Honors - Irwin (again)

So basically, if God answers all my prayers, I'll have American Lit. instead of AP Eng, I'll get Mrs. P for TA, I'll be switched so I get Eck for weights, and I'll get Graphic Design added.

So unless I find some neat memory of my past weeks' vacations, that's it. School starts on Wednesday. REALITY STINKS!

NOTE: As soon as AOL begins AOL Journals, I'll probably move my blog there. Hopefully I'll be able to keep the same template and host pictures and stuff.

YEA! I GUESS...

went to the computer show today. spent an unholy amount of money. my parents were all like "it's ok, we're fine" but i don't think they were thrilled that i spent so much. here's what i picked up for my dream PC:

A blue ATX case w/ front USB, room for 3 fans, and included 450 watt power supply
AMD Athlon 2800+ CPU
Asus A7N8X Deluxe motherboard
Kingston 512 MB DDR RAM
Seagate Barricuda 80 GB Hard Drive
NEC 16X DVD-ROM
ATI All-In-Wonder 9700 Pro video card (suh-weet!)
Misc. screws, cables, fans

ok, if you took a look at the bill i owe my parents, it seems a bit, well, expensive. but hey, it's for my dream PC, and the prices are so much better than NewEgg.com, which is a good thing. Can't wait to put it together. Unfortunately, my AP classes took its toll on me. my parents say no-touchie the goods until Thanksgiving at least, depending on how AP classes favor me. My mom at first said no-touchie until next summer, but by then, my dream PC will be no more than, well, just another PC. This event has further added onto the confusion I'm already in. Should I give school my all, despite my struggles in Physics, risk lots of homework no fun low grades late nites, risk straying from my walk with the Lord, and risk my (life savings!) collecting dust? Or should I take it easy, drop my AP classes, be just a student, build my PC, and risk not getting into the college of my choice? And if I do choose the latter, which AP class should I drop? English, because statistically it's my weakest subject? Physics, because i'm struggling with it right now? US History, because, well, because? Please, PLEASE pray for me. I'll be going to CBM Camp this week, and pray that this week with the Lord will further reveal his will for me. I pray that when i arrive back home, I'll have a decision mad on which path I want to take. Pray for me.

Lord, I give You my heart
I give You my soul
I live for You alone
Every breath that I take
Every moment I'm awake
Lord, have Your way in me!

SOLITUDE, PART 2

still lonely...*sniff. but neways, been a while since i posted. in my solitude, i had to chauffeur my mom to S.J. on tuesday. i felt like it was my first day driving freeway. the whole way there my mom nagged me about my driving. either that or i was lucky to get all the "good stuff" on the road that way. but i was pretty t'd off. today, i received the magic trick i ordered in the mail. it's one that David Blaine did on Vertigo. It's pretty cool, so if I get it perfected, I'll show it to whoever reads this and goes to camp. (lemme think....how about NO ONE!) The best part is that the company I ordered it from ships it tax and shipping free, and if it doesn't leave their store by the next day, you get it free. So I've got $8.90 in store credit to spend, plus a special 10% coupon. that's nice...

But sitting around doing homework, using the computer endlessly, and practicing magic tricks doesn't keep me distracted forever, so SOMEONE CALL ME UP AND LET'S HANG OUT!!! (OR I'M GOING TO CRY...SORT'VE...MENTALLY...BY MYSELF...yeah)

Endless Summer

lazy start for the last full week of summer at home. Yesterday I finally saw Finding Nemo. Awesome movie, loved it better than Toy Story. Humor was much better. Except that even though the movie's been out for almost a month, it was like full of kids. They should make it mandatory to wear muzzles or something because these kids can't just sit still. geez.

Went to Any Mountain afterwards. They had a 20% off everything sale. Finally bought myself a Camelback, which is a backpack with an ultra-cool water compartment built into it. Expensive they were, but sweet too.

Tomorrow I'm on my own again until Saturday so I'll probably end up doing homework. Unless someone is nice enough to call so we can get together. Someone, anyone, okay? Girl, guy, relative, anyone? C'mon, be a friend and let's hang out. C'mon, C'MON ALREADY!!!!

A TRUE TEST OF AMERICA'S LEADER

Now for my philisophical note of the day.

I was on AOL today and I noticed a picture of President Bush and the Pope. I clicked on the link to see what is was about. One window had monthly stats about how the acceptance rate of gays are rising. I then looked and saw quotes from different people about their views on gays. One was from President Bush. Let's just say I was very inspired by these quotes. I learned this:

1.) President Bush really means it when he says "God bless America" - Wow, I am amazed at what he's gone through. It's enough that he's been harassed by the media and democrats for being a Christian, and now this. Usually, I'm skeptical whether people are legit with all the fame and stuff, but I look up to G.W. Despite nearly 50% of AOL members acceptance of gays (which multiplied can be close to half the nation), President Bush stands up for what is true, and speaks the truth. And he doesn't sugar-coat it either. He calls gays sinners. I'm sure he'll get tons of criticism about that, but President Bush will hold to the Word. wow.

I pray that God will give me that kind of courage, a courage that will help me to stand strong even if half a nation threatens my life. How about you?
